HFMA Region 5 Dixie Institute boasts largest registration ever | EPSi Healthcare Financial Decision Support

February 28, 2018 – Tampa

Several EPSi clients took the stage at this year’s HFMA Region 5 Dixie Institute in Tampa as the largest number of attendees on record gathered to hear how HFMA is fostering “authentic leadership,” how to navigate through a sea of mergers and acquisitions, and how embracing change can create better value for stakeholders and patients.

2017-18 HFMA Chair-Elect Kevin F. Brannon, executive VP and CFO of Geisinger, spoke about HFMA’s “authentic leadership” initiative, which draws on articulating how your experiences have shaped you to guide your decisionmaking and foster greater stewardship.
He also walked the crowd through five trends transforming the healthcare industry:
  • The fast pace of value-based care and the need for strategies to deal with it
  • “Merger mania” continues to remake the delivery system landscape
  • Value-based insurance design will drive patients to high-value choices
  • Consumer-centric disruption is here to stay, and collaboration is key to being success with it.
  • The accelerating pace and impact of innovation also require partnerships and collaboration
  • The rise of millennials through the ranks as the current workforce “ages out.”
EPSi is increasing its engagement with the HFMA chapters and regions across the country. Watch for us at the HFMA Northern California Spring Conference March 26-27 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento, CA and the Region 1 conference May 23-24 at Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, CT.
