New Virtual Training in Response to COVID-19 Restrictions

COVID-19 is having an impact on all aspects of our lives. In support of our clients’ continuing quest to improve the way their health systems analyze financial, clinical, and operational data so they can make better decisions—especially in times of crisis—we are converting several upcoming courses originally designed as in-person, centralized training from EPSi University to virtual, online training experiences.

EPSi University’s first remote-hosted Centralized Training on Data and Systems Administration is scheduled for April 7 and 8 (UPDATE: This training is now full, with a waiting list. You may still register to get on the waiting list but we cannot guarantee a seat in this session). This centralized training was originally scheduled to occur in its traditional, live, face-to-face format but, we have redesigned it to be delivered virtually via a Webex.

The content has been scaled back to deliver more digestible content in a web-based version of the original course. The training will still be taught by our scheduled instructors, Terry Archibald and Rachel Molitor.

This course will provide users an overview of the EPSi system’s Security Administration tool as well as portal, report, and data administration. Topics will include administering user security and setup, loading and reconciling data, creating external lists, protecting health information (PHI), data extender, data visualization, delete utilities, and the data manager tool.

We have conducted many Webex presentations and remote trainings. However, this is the first time we have taught a full instructor-led course in this format, so we ask for your flexibility and understanding. We will record each session and make it available on success.epsi.io for those who attend the live, online course.

Budget Manager Intensive and Budget Reporting
Tuesday-Thursday, April 21-23

A deep-dive introductory course that includes a comprehensive exploration of the budget process for both the general ledger and payroll budgets. This course also includes forecasting, variance analysis, and flexible budgeting. Attendees will also learn how to generate both general ledger and payroll reports. This course contains hands-on workshops for each step of the budget process.

Product Line Analysis Intensive
Tuesday-Thursday, May 4-6

This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the Product Line Analysis application. Included within the agenda are list groups, product lines, data manager, clinical analysis, and reporting. This course is ideal for new staff members or those who need basic refresher training. This course includes hands-on workshops where learners create and load an external list; and create a product line, user-defined field, rule set and clinical analysis codes, as well as several reports.
